About the Book
My insomnia got me started photographing the light and shadows of the night in our house. That was before our daughter told me about the earthquakes that kept her awake in her dormatory in Tokyo.
The project emerged out of the similarities I found between my photos and images from documentaries of the horrifing consequences of earthquakes. I captured these scenes on the TV-screen with my camera. The photographs are displayed in the sequence The Room, The Elevator and The Wave. A selection of these are shown below.
